Trained in a demanding military medical environment, Dr. Rakesh Shetty brings a structured, patient-centric, and ethically driven approach to clinical care. He has extensive experience in anterior segment surgeries, including small incision cataract surgery (SICS), phacoemulsification, pterygium excision, and the surgical management of ocular trauma. His experience also extends to refractive surgery, including LASIK, PRK, and phakic intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Rakesh Shetty is actively involved in research and academic pursuits. He has conducted multiple studies published in peer-reviewed national and international journals, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based medicine and continual learning.
